Looking out over Barnesmore Gap in County Donegal today with the beautiful sunshine, it is difficult to believe that we are in the middle of November and starting to get organised for another Christmas. The festive season has already begun with the town lights being switched on and the shops with all their Christmas decorations.

Everyone is busy preparing their household. Whilst it is important to have the inside prepared, now is also the time of year to be thinking of the outside and the hedge that still needs to be planted. This is what we call the bare root season in the Gardening World. You can choose from a wide selection of hedging plants from Beech, Hornbeam, Laurel, Privet or Escallonia depending on your location and soil conditions. It is less expensive than potted hedging especially if you have a large area to cover and with other expenses at this time of year.

If you have a few spare moments why not call in and see us where we have excellent, knowledgeable sales staff to give you all the advice you need.
